Sketch 101 at Upright Citizens Brigade

Today was my first class at UCB for Sketch 101 with Eric Scott. 
It's a writing focused class and I'm excited to begin working with UCB
and also to force myself to do some writing consistently!
 
Camp Wayne at Upright Citizens Brigade

Camp Wayne was accepted to compete in Backyard Brawl at
UCB on Friday, May 28th at midnight.  We are going
head-to-head with last month's sketch group winners
Inside Joke Films.  The audience decides and tickets are only
$5 so I expect to see you there!

"Rosemary with Ginger."  The show runs April 29th-May 2nd at 8pm and May 1st at

I was recently cast in this fabulous new show as The Agent.  We will have our
first read-thru in April and continue to build the show from there. 
The objective is to have an off-broadway run by the end of the year!

I'm working with Greg Cicchino for the 4th time!  This time in a performance
of "The Would Be Room" March 5th-8th at Columbia University. 
It's a wonderful script and it's fun to be working on something new and in development.

Toy Collector

This past weekend I filmed the new webseries Toy Collector with
g14 Productions. The script is amazing, Matthew Balthrop and Jeff Logren
were fatasticand the actors were a joy!  I can't wait to show it to you.

original one act as part of the Emerging Artist Theatre (EAT) Fest.

I am way behind in updates! Here's a quick rundown:

1) As You Like It by William Shakespeare
I played Celia for a three week run at The Secret Theatre in
Long Island City. It went amazingly well and we got great reviews!
Some of the best quotes are on the homepage.

2) Awkward Johnsons
This is a new sketch comedy group founded by Mike Diaz of
The Heights Entertainment. We are focusing on filming our
sketches and actually beginning filming this weekend.

3) Organic Mattress
I was cast as Lisa in Gregg Pasternack's orginal one act
Organic Matress. It is directed by Dan Dinero and will be performed as
part of Emerging Artists Theatre(EAT) Festival as a AEA showcase.

4) Camp Wayne
I did my second show with them and it was another huge success.
Now we are working on getting some our sketches filmed so we can
share with all you not able to see our shows in New York

I have woefully neglected updating you all on my progress!
To catch you up, I'm going to do a quick bullet points:

- Women's Studies will be released through MTI Video in the Fall. No exact date yet
- Women's Studies Screening in Chicago on Aprl 25th as part of

- I had another show with the "Holy Headshot!" folks, this time at
Upright Citizens Brigade theatre. It was great to reconnect with so many

- I finished filming Conversations with Sunjada Films.

Becket
September 20, 2008
"Becket" closed and it was an amazing show. We had almost
full to over-sold houses every night and people loved it. It was
such an amazing and rewarding experience to work with such
a talented director, assistant director, cast and crew. I know that
the work and prcess will influence me for many years to come.

New Show, Book, Movie and more!

I was recently cast in Becket with
Twenty Feet Productions.
The show run September 3rd-21st for fifteen shows at the Richmond
Shepard Theatre in Manhattan. I'll give you more details as they are available.

On October 21st Holy Headshot! A Celebration of America's Undiscovered
Talent
will be on bookshelves across America. Published by Simon&Schuster,
it's a collection of unusual headshots from all types of performers and I
am one of the featured performers! The book release itself will be something
to see as many of those from the book will be performing that night. Then
the book signing will go on the road! More details to come as soon as I
know where and when I will be appearing.


In August I'm going to be filming Conversations with Sunjada films
in the leading role of Molly.

The cast and crew screening for Women's Studies took place in June
and it looks great! It has really come together and I can't wait for everyone
to see it. We are waiting to hear back from film festivals and should hear
soon. Check out my home page for an excellent review I received.

Film wrapped, Film Premiere

Filming on the Baltimore based film Blood Brothers wrapped about 2 weeks ago! Everything went really well and I hope to have some scenes in the next few months to share with you all.

On December 15th I went to the Philly premiere of Love Knot. The movie looks fantastic and it was great to see the cast and crew again. I hope I'll be able to show you some clips from this movie soon as well.

Women's Studies and Blood Brothers

July 1st I started filming Women's Studies! The days on set went really well, I feel really good about the project and am confident it is going to be a great movie. Plus it was a lot of fun. You can check out the Production blog to stay updated: Women's Studies Production Blog
The Baltimore based Sunjada Productions film Blood Brothers is currently on hold. The film is in talks discussing funding and making this a much bigger production then originally planned, which is nothing but great news for everyone involved. As soon as the funding is all settled and contacts are signed, well begin filming again.

Judith O'Dea signs on to Women's Studies

BIG NEWS! Judith O'Dea, famous for her role of Barbara in George Romero's Night of the Living Dead, has signed on to play the part of Senator Hamlin in Women's Studies! Not only is she an amazing actress, but her role in NOTLD pushed people reexamine the role of women in horror movies. Read all about it:

Happy Belated New Year! Can you tell I've been busy?
Deadlands: The Rising has been picked up by Tempe Entertainment for distribution and has a scheduled release date of April 17, 2007. On that same note, Deadlands 2: The New World is being written by Lonnie Martin (Women's Studies director, writer and producer) based on Gary's story. I've read the latest version of the script and I love my part! I have a lead role, lots of action and a great character. Tentative plan to shoot in Fall 2008.
Filming wrapped on the tentatively titled Love Trapezoid and they anticipate completing post production this summer. A website for Jarryd Meyers and Poop Dog Productions is in the works and will be available shortly.
New pictures are on there way from a photo shoot I did with Vince L. with bubble wrap, saran wrap and colored lights. It is as cool as it sounds. Also, I have several photo shoots scheduled so look for fun new pictures in the coming months

New Film!

I was recently cast as Angie in the tentativley titled Love Trapazoid. This feature length film features a group of four friends and the events that unfold and the secrets revealed within a 24 hour period. It will be shot in Philadelphia during the month of October and is spear headed by the incredibly talented and up-and-coming director Jarryd Meyer.

This weekend ends my run in
Happy Hour. It was so much fun but I'm also excited to what I have in the month ahead.

Earlier this week I was cast in my first NY stage show!

I will be performing in Happy Hour at the Big Little Theatre all five Fridays in September at 9:30. Presented by the Michael Checkov Theatre Company and directed by Michael Horn, tickets are $25 and includes a half-hour all-you-can-drink cocktail hour. It's going to be amazingly fun! 141 Ridge Street, between Stanton and Houston. Hope to see you there.


A Visit to VA and MD

I returned to NY from a weekend in VA. I participated in a call back for
Women's Studies and was offered (and accepted) the role of Beth. Shooting is scheduled to begin next year but there is going to be a lot happening between now and then. Stay updated on their production blog: Women's Studies Production Blog
. I'm so excited to be working with this script and these awesome people. I have a lot of faith in this project

I also completed my voice over demo with a commercial and narration track with
James Lewis of Talktime Voiceover. It turned out wonderfully and it will posted soon on my media section.

The weekend also included some ADR work on the short Going Home with INH Productions. It is in the finishing stages of editing and should be finished soon!
